Is it possible for former President Donald Trump to get a fair trial in New York ? At least one potential juror was released for sharing a post that included the words, “ lock him up” according to an article written by Abdallah Fayyad, for Vox news. The matter of a potential juror lying just to land a seat on the jury, was also the topic of discussion by Fox News analyst Jesse Waters. Also,on the flip side, the View co- host Sunny Hostin, suggested a juror could lie, to hopefully sway the jury from finding Trump guilty. There is no absolute way to know if the twelve jurors can be fair and impartial, but away we go, and the trial begins Monday.
The judge has issued a gag order that prohibits Trump from publicly discussing the case or the circumstances surrounding it. This calls into question, a personal right to free speech, that each American is entitled to. Former President Trump also stated that the gag order interferes with his Presidential Campaign, as President Biden is free to speak and make attacks on Trump, during speeches and campaign stops.
The extensive media attention Trump’s case will receive, could potentially influence public opinion making it challenging to find an impartial jury. There is also the political bias, given Trumps political persona, there are concerns that jurors or even judges might be influenced by their personal political beliefs. Prejudice is another concern, Trump’s highly publicized style could lead to pre-judgments about his guilt or innocence among potential jurors.
Judge Merchan, has also denied a request by Trump to be in Washington for the Supreme Court oral arguments involving the matter of presidential immunity that Trump is claiming in another federal case. How did we get here? This ridiculous witch hunt, is nothing more than the party currently in power,the democrats, trying to not silence but remove, the top leading opposition, Donald Trump by way of our legal system. Sounds like a third world country, sounds like communism, looks like Marxism. And yet, this is happening right here in our own country, America. Conservatives, it would seem are now enemies of the state. And it appears they are trying to teach us a lesson by attacking our nominee for president, Donald Trump .
The irony of all this is, the more they indite, the more we unite. These outrageous allegations against our former President are the lefts last pathetic attempt to keep him off the ballot and out of the White House. The thing is … you can’t stop the Trump Train !!! There is one more stop to make… Pennsylvania Avenue !
